Job Overview:
With minimal to moderate supervision, you will be responsible for verifying that software changes implemented by developers perform as intended and meet quality standards. You will contribute to quality initiatives within the team, document issues identified during testing, and ensure timely resolution. This role plays a key part in maintaining the quality of our products throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform testing activities based on thorough analysis of requirements and understanding of deployment environments. Verify test outcomes by analyzing user interfaces, databases, printed reports, and data transmissions.
- Review solution comments, design documents, and other specifications to create effective test cases that validate product functionality.
- Identify, document, and communicate defects found during testing, and collaborate with the development team to resolve them.
- Provide reports on requirement coverage, test execution results, and defect status to management.
- Assist with troubleshooting issues reported by customers, as needed.
Education:
- BS/BE degree or equivalent relevant experience
Minimum Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in Quality Assurance
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Experience in defect tracking, creating test plans, and writing detailed defect reports
- Basic knowledge of programming, scripting, and SQL
- Strong skills in troubleshooting software or system issues
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical skills, and attention to detail
- Familiarity with working in an Agile development environment
- Proficient in designing and executing test cases
- Positive attitude with a solid understanding of QA best practices
- Hands-on experience with Selenium and Cypress (preferred, not mandatory)
- Experience with API testing frameworks (preferred, not mandatory)
