Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a detail-focused and proactive QA Analyst to join our growing Quality Assurance team. Reporting to the QA Manager, this role will work closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality releases in an Agile sprint environment. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in both manual and automated testing, with familiarity in CI/CD processes and a strong team-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and execute detailed test cases and scenarios based on business requirements and user stories.
- Conduct manual testing for web apps, APIs, and backend systems to ensure thorough quality checks.
- Collaborate with automation engineers and contribute to test automation when applicable.
- Identify, log, and manage defects using tools like JIRA.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.
- Perform regression testing and validate bug fixes across releases.
- Share test outcomes, potential risks, and issue reports with QA Managers and stakeholders.
- Maintain updated test documentation using tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray.
- Support ongoing enhancements of QA practices, tools, and standards in coordination with the QA Manager.
- Assist in performance testing and test data preparation when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance.
- Strong grasp of QA fundamentals, testing types, and Agile methodologies.
- Proficient in manual testing; working experience with automation tools like Selenium or Functionize.
- Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or SOAPUI.
- Familiar with defect tracking and test case management platforms (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, TestRail).
- Basic exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Jenkins and Git.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to work in a collaborative team setup.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Experience with SQL for database testing.
- Familiarity with BDD tools like Cucumber is an added advantage.
- ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications are preferred.
