Job Description:
Citi is hiring for the role of Applications Development Programmer Analyst, an intermediate-level position within the Technology team. The primary goal of this role is to assist in the design, development, and implementation of application systems, contributing to various software development lifecycle stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply understanding of software development processes and fundamental technical concepts to define and develop application enhancements.
- Investigate issues, analyze root causes, recommend solutions, and implement fixes.
- Use business process knowledge and industry best practices to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
- Make data-driven decisions and evaluations to suggest system improvements.
- Write and debug basic code, run tests, and use scripting tools based on design requirements.
- Adapt previous experience to resolve unique problems not covered by existing procedures.
- Develop a solid understanding of Citi’s IT infrastructure, including client-server systems, network operations, databases, and system administration.
- Maintain risk awareness when making business decisions, upholding ethical standards, company policies, and regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- 0–2 years of relevant work experience
- Hands-on experience in programming and debugging business applications
- Familiarity with standard industry development practices
- Sound knowledge of programming languages and application development in a business environment
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience from a recognized university/institution.
